Saunders hopes to retain Seattle magic

The big showdown will come in the series finale, when Felix Hernandez engages the newest Angels starter, Scott Kazmir, in his debut with his new club.
For openers, the Angels have the right guy, Joe Saunders, dealing as they kick off a seven-game road trip with the first of three games against the Mariners. Lefty Luke French will go for Seattle, making his sixth start since coming from Detroit in the Jarrod Washburn trade.
In a season that has not gone smoothly, Saunders has been on top of his game in the Pacific Northwest, feeling the soothing effects of the cool weather.
